Effective date: 26 May 2026.

This Photo and Video Confidentiality Policy explains the specific confidentiality rules that apply to photos, videos, verification recordings, identity or age verification materials, visual analysis materials, reviewer notes and related outputs processed by Slashed Limited.

This Policy is intended to supplement the Slashed Terms of Use and the Slashed Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict, the document that provides the highest level of protection for User Media shall apply, unless a mandatory legal requirement provides otherwise.

1. Core principle

Photos and videos uploaded to Slashed are private by default. They are not public content. They are not social media content. They are not community content. They are not made available to other users. They are handled as highly confidential materials because they may reveal intimate, sensitive and personal aspects of appearance, identity, style, body presentation, grooming, dating presentation, professional image and self-perception.

2. Materials covered by this Policy

This Policy applies to:

  • photos, videos, screenshots and other images uploaded by a user;

  • short videos recorded for visual verification;

  • age or identity verification documents where requested;

  • visual metadata, upload metadata and moderation metadata;

  • before and after history stored in the user Account;

  • analyses, scores, sliders, ratings, reports, reviewer notes, coach notes and support notes linked to User Media;

  • any derivative material created internally for analysis, moderation, verification, quality control, support, security or legal purposes.

3. Own-media requirement and consent

At this stage, users may upload only their own photos and videos. Users must not upload the image, video or likeness of another person. This includes partners, former partners, friends, colleagues, employees, clients, celebrities, public figures, strangers, minors and any person who has not expressly consented through a process approved by Slashed.

Slashed may require visual verification to confirm that the person uploading User Media appears to be the person depicted in the uploaded material. If Slashed discovers or reasonably suspects that a user has uploaded another person's material, the Account may be suspended, restricted or terminated without refund to the maximum extent permitted by law.

4. Internal access controls

Access to User Media is restricted to authorised persons who need access for a legitimate Slashed purpose. This may include internal team members, moderators, visual reviewers, style experts, coaches, support personnel, security personnel, product personnel, compliance personnel and legal personnel.

Access must be purpose-limited. For example, a hairstyle-related review should be handled by personnel or experts relevant to hairstyle, grooming or visual presentation, and not by unrelated persons for unrelated purposes. User Media must not be shared internally out of curiosity, entertainment, gossip, humiliation, informal comparison, training without consent, or any purpose unrelated to operating, securing, improving or supporting the Service in accordance with this Policy.

5. External access and expert review

Slashed may involve authorised experts or coaches where relevant to the requested service, such as style, grooming, dating profile presentation, professional image, hair, makeup, posture or visual communication. Such access is limited to the relevant purpose and may be subject to confidentiality obligations and access restrictions.

Slashed will not share User Media with unrelated external parties such as advertisers, public relations agencies, social media agencies, influencers, commercial partners or unrelated service providers for unrelated purposes without explicit, separate consent.

Technical infrastructure providers may host, store, transmit, back up, secure or otherwise process User Media as necessary to operate the Service. Such providers do not receive User Media for their own unrelated use and should be bound by appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards.

6. Marketing and public use

Slashed will not use photos, videos, verification recordings or identifiable analyses in advertising, public marketing, social media posts, testimonials, case studies, public before and after examples, sales pages, pitch decks, investor materials or promotional content without explicit, separate consent from the relevant user.

Consent for marketing use must be separate from consent to receive the Service. A user may refuse marketing use and still purchase or use the Service. If a user grants marketing consent, the consent may be withdrawn, subject to practical limitations for materials already lawfully published or distributed before withdrawal.

7. Training, improvement and research use

Slashed may ask users for optional consent to use User Media and related outputs to improve reviewer consistency, develop future features, test quality, train or evaluate models, improve analysis frameworks, create internal benchmarks, or generate anonymised or pseudonymised examples.

Slashed will not use identifiable User Media for training, model improvement, public examples or research beyond what is necessary to provide the purchased Service unless the user has given explicit, separate consent where required. Refusing optional improvement consent will not prevent access to the core paid Service.

Where Slashed uses anonymised or pseudonymised data, it will take reasonable steps to reduce identifiability, taking into account the visual nature of photos and videos and the possibility that images can remain identifiable even after obvious identifiers are removed.

8. AI tools and automated processing

Slashed analyses are generated or reviewed by humans. AI tools may be used to assist with wording, grammar, structure, translation, quality control, workflow support, moderation, security or future functionality.

Where AI providers or automated systems process text, metadata, photos or videos, Slashed will seek to use them in a controlled manner and in line with applicable privacy requirements. Slashed will not intentionally allow User Media to be used by third-party AI providers for their own model training where Slashed has the ability to prevent that use, unless the user has given explicit, separate consent or the relevant use is otherwise lawful and clearly disclosed.

9. Verification videos and identity materials

Verification videos and identity or age verification materials are used to help confirm age, identity, same-person status, authenticity, fraud prevention and compliance with the adult-only and own-media rules. They are not used as entertainment content, public content or marketing content.

Slashed may retain verification materials while the Account exists and for a further period where necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal claims, safety, compliance or enforcement. Users may request deletion, subject to legal, security, billing, dispute, abuse prevention and technical backup limitations.

10. Storage and hosting

User Media may be stored in systems operated by Slashed or by technical infrastructure providers. At the date of this Policy, certain data may be hosted through Supabase in the us-east-1 region in Northern Virginia, United States. Other providers may process or store data in other jurisdictions as described in the Privacy Policy.

Slashed uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect User Media against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss. No digital storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Account history and progress tracking

Slashed retains photos, videos and analyses in the user Account history so that users can access previous results, compare changes over time and observe visual progression. This retention is part of the intended Service experience.

Users may delete specific photos, videos or analyses where the Service provides that functionality or may request deletion by contacting privacy@getslashed.app. Deletion may be subject to verification, technical processing time, backup cycles and limited retention for legal, billing, security, fraud prevention, dispute or compliance purposes.

12. Prohibited disclosures by users

Users must not use Slashed to obtain, create, request, publish or distribute humiliating, abusive, non-consensual or unlawful content about any person. Users must not upload another person's image to obtain private commentary about that person. Users must not use Output to harass, blackmail, shame, discriminate against, exploit, stalk, defame or harm any person.

If a user chooses to share their own Output privately or publicly outside the Service, they are responsible for that sharing and for any consequences. Slashed does not control external sharing by users outside the Service.

13. Staff and reviewer conduct

Personnel with access to User Media are expected to handle it confidentially and professionally. They must not save copies to personal devices, share images through unauthorised channels, discuss users outside appropriate work contexts, use User Media for personal purposes, or disclose User Media to unauthorised persons.

Slashed may maintain internal policies, access restrictions, training, audit logs, confidentiality obligations and disciplinary procedures designed to reduce the risk of misuse.

14. Security incidents

If Slashed becomes aware of a security incident involving User Media, it will assess the incident and take steps required by applicable law. Where legally required, Slashed will notify affected users and relevant regulators. The timing and content of notices may depend on the nature of the incident, legal obligations, law enforcement requirements, security risks and ongoing investigations.

15. Lawful requests and safety exceptions

Although User Media is private by default, Slashed may disclose or preserve User Media where required or permitted by law, court order, regulator request, law enforcement request, safety concern, fraud investigation, child protection obligation, abuse prevention, legal claim, Terms enforcement or protection of rights, safety and security.

Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, Slashed may seek to limit such disclosure to the information necessary for the relevant purpose.

16. Requests from people depicted in media

Because the Service is designed for users to upload only their own photos and videos, Slashed does not currently operate a public reporting system for third-party images. However, if a person believes that their image has been uploaded without consent, they may contact privacy@getslashed.app with sufficient information to allow Slashed to investigate.

Slashed may request identity verification before disclosing, deleting or taking action in relation to User Media, in order to prevent fraudulent or malicious requests.

17. Changes to this Policy

Slashed may update this Policy from time to time, including to reflect new features such as third-party consent workflows, coach marketplaces, advanced AI features, public sharing features, community features, app store features, subscriptions, credits or new verification processes. Material changes will be notified where required by law.

18. Language

This Policy is drafted in English. If this Policy is translated into any other language, the English version shall prevail to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
