Effective date: 26 May 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how Slashed Limited collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you access or use the Slashed website, applications, account areas, visual verification process, photo and video analysis services, payment flows, support channels, newsletters, analytics, advertising technologies and related services.

This Policy should be read together with the Slashed Terms of Use and the Slashed Photo and Video Confidentiality Policy. The Service is strictly reserved for adults aged 18 or over.

1. Controller

The data controller is Slashed Limited, an Irish company registered under number 736927, with registered address at Unit 4a Avonbeg Industrial Estate, Long Mile Road, Dublin 12, D12 C422, Ireland.

For privacy and data protection matters, contact privacy@getslashed.app. For general support, contact hello@getslashed.app.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data processed through the Service, including personal data submitted by users, generated by the Service, collected through devices and cookies, received through payment providers, processed during visual verification, or created through support, moderation, security and compliance workflows.

This Policy does not apply to independent websites, platforms, payment providers, app stores, social networks, dating platforms or third-party services that are not controlled by Slashed. Those services are governed by their own privacy notices.

3. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data, including name, email address, login credentials, account identifiers, preferences, country, language, consent choices and settings.

  • User Media, including photos, videos, images, visual verification videos and any related metadata submitted or recorded through the Service.

  • Verification data, including short verification videos, age or identity verification materials where requested, review notes, pass or fail decisions and fraud prevention records.

  • Analysis data, including reports, feedback, scores, sliders, ratings, style assessments, dating profile feedback, professional image feedback, recommendations, reviewer notes and coaching notes.

  • Profile and contextual data, including information you provide about goals, dating platforms, style preferences, professional context, desired feedback level, body or grooming preferences, and other self-declared information.

  • Payment and transaction data, including product purchased, price, currency, taxes, payment status, invoices, subscription status, credit balance, payment provider identifiers and app store records. We do not intend to store full payment card numbers where payments are processed by third-party payment providers.

  • Support and communications data, including emails, messages, complaints, requests, attachments, survey responses, feedback and records of our responses.

  • Device, usage and technical data, including IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, events, clicks, approximate location inferred from IP address, error logs, security logs, timestamps and referral information.

  • Cookie, analytics and advertising data, including data collected through cookies, pixels, SDKs, cookie-less audience measurement tools, retargeting tools, newsletter tools and similar technologies, subject to applicable consent requirements.

  • Consent and legal records, including acceptance of terms, privacy choices, marketing preferences, explicit consent records, withdrawal records, deletion requests, moderation decisions and compliance documentation.

4. Special category, biometric and sensitive personal data

Photos and videos may reveal or allow inferences about sensitive characteristics, such as health-related appearance, ethnicity, body shape, age range, sex, skin condition, disability, religious dress, tattoos, grooming, lifestyle or other sensitive matters. Visual verification may also involve facial comparison or similar identity-related processing. Depending on the jurisdiction and the technical method used, some processing may constitute special category data, biometric data, sensitive personal information or similarly protected data.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on your explicit consent for such processing. You may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, but this may prevent us from providing the Service, completing verification, retaining your Account history, improving the Service with your materials, or delivering certain features.

We do not intend to use User Media to make medical, employment, credit, insurance, housing, legal or similarly significant decisions about you. We do not intend to identify you across unrelated third-party services. We do not use photos or videos for marketing, advertising creatives or public examples without your explicit, separate consent.

5. Purposes and legal bases for processing

For users located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or other jurisdictions with similar legal bases, we process personal data under the following legal bases, as applicable: contract, consent, explicit consent, legitimate interests, legal obligations and establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

We process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To create, manage and secure Accounts, based on contract and legitimate interests.

  • To receive, store and display User Media in the Account history, based on contract and, where required, explicit consent.

  • To perform visual verification, age or identity checks, fraud prevention and abuse prevention, based on contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations and, where required, explicit consent.

  • To provide photo and video analysis, feedback, ratings, sliders, style recommendations, dating profile feedback, professional image feedback and coaching, based on contract and, where required, explicit consent.

  • To allow users to track progress over time by retaining photos, videos and analyses in their Account, based on contract and, where required, explicit consent.

  • To process payments, subscriptions, credits, invoices, tax records and refunds where legally required, based on contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests.

  • To provide support, handle complaints, respond to requests, investigate errors and maintain records, based on contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations.

  • To moderate content, enforce the Terms, prevent prohibited content, protect users and protect Slashed, based on legitimate interests, legal obligations and establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

  • To improve, test and develop the Service, based on legitimate interests where the data is non-sensitive or sufficiently protected, and based on optional consent where User Media or sensitive data is used for improvement, training or model development.

  • To send newsletters, promotional communications and product updates, based on consent or legitimate interests where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe at any time.

  • To use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting and measurement tools, based on consent where required and legitimate interests where permitted by law.

  • To comply with law, enforce rights, respond to lawful requests and protect safety, based on legal obligations, legitimate interests and legal claims.

6. Photos, videos and account history

Unless you delete them or close your Account, we retain photos, videos, verification materials, analyses and related information in your Account history so that you can access previous results and monitor changes over time. This is a core feature of the Service.

You may request deletion of photos, videos and analyses, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute, backup and record-keeping limitations. Deletion from active systems will be carried out within a reasonable period after verification of the request. Backup deletion may follow the ordinary backup rotation cycle unless earlier deletion is technically feasible.

7. Optional use for training, improvement and examples

We may ask for your optional consent to use User Media, analyses, ratings, feedback, interaction data or other materials to improve the Service, develop future features, train or evaluate models, improve reviewer consistency, conduct quality assurance or create anonymised or pseudonymised examples.

We will not use photos or videos for model training, marketing, public case studies, public examples, advertising creatives or promotional materials without explicit, separate consent where required. Refusing optional consent will not prevent you from using the paid Service, although it may limit participation in beta features, research programmes or personalised improvement tools.

You may withdraw optional consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal, but we will stop future optional use where technically and legally feasible.

When placing your order, an optional checkbox lets you agree that your analysis (submitted photos and the observations written by our team) may be used as an illustrative example in our materials (notably our guides and educational content), in the form of an annotated gallery. Such use is never accompanied by your name, your email address or any other Account data; only the relevant media and the team's observations are shown, under an editorial pseudonym. This consent is optional: declining does not limit your access to the Service or the quality of your analysis. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting our support team; we will then stop using your analysis as an example within a reasonable time, without affecting the lawfulness of any use made before withdrawal.

8. Human review, AI tools and service providers

Slashed analyses are generated or reviewed by humans. We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with drafting, grammar, clarity, formatting, workflow support, quality control, moderation, security and future features.

We may use technical and business service providers to operate the Service, including Supabase, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud, Cloudflare (including Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookie-less audience measurement and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection), Stripe, Resend, Apple App Store, Google Play and other hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics, payment, communication, support, email, moderation or professional service providers.

Service providers are authorised to process personal data only as necessary to provide services to us, subject to contractual, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the processing. Where a provider acts as an independent controller, its own privacy notice may also apply.

9. Sharing of personal data

We may share personal data with:

  • authorised Slashed personnel, moderators, reviewers, style experts and coaches on a need-to-know basis;

  • technical infrastructure providers that host, store, transmit, secure, back up or process data;

  • payment providers, app stores, tax, accounting and billing providers;

  • analytics, advertising, retargeting and measurement providers, subject to consent where required;

  • email, newsletter, customer support and communication providers;

  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors and legal advisers;

  • competent authorities, courts, regulators, law enforcement or third parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety and security;

  • acquirers, successors or parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your photos or videos. We do not make your User Media public. We do not share User Media with advertisers for advertising creatives without your explicit, separate consent.

10. International transfers

Slashed is established in Ireland, but the Service is intended for users in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and other regions where the Service is made available. Some personal data is hosted through Supabase in the us-east-1 region in Northern Virginia, United States. Other service providers may process data in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or other countries.

Where personal data is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to countries that do not benefit from an applicable adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards where required, such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Agreement, transfer risk assessments, contractual safeguards, supplementary measures, or other lawful mechanisms available under applicable data protection law.

You acknowledge that international processing is necessary for the operation of the Service as currently configured. If you do not want your personal data to be processed internationally, you should not use the Service.

11. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In particular:

  • Account data is generally retained for as long as the Account exists.

  • User Media, verification materials and analyses are generally retained for as long as the Account exists, unless deleted earlier by the user or by Slashed under the Terms.

  • Payment, invoice, tax and accounting records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.

  • Security, fraud prevention, moderation and legal records may be retained for as long as necessary to protect users, Slashed and third parties.

  • After an Account is deleted or closed, Account data — including User Media and analyses — is deactivated immediately, placed in restricted-access quarantine, and then deleted or anonymised at the end of a period of up to five years, in line with applicable limitation periods. This period may be extended where content is subject to a report, a legal preservation obligation, a judicial request or ongoing litigation.

  • Marketing records are retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, subject to suppression lists used to respect opt-out choices.

  • Cookie and analytics data is retained according to the relevant cookie settings, provider settings and legal requirements.

When data is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable law and technical feasibility.

12. Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, authentication, role-based access, confidentiality obligations, secure hosting, encryption in transit where appropriate, monitoring, backup controls, staff restrictions and internal policies. No digital service can be guaranteed to be fully secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for using a secure device and email account. Login and signup forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-robot mechanism that analyses technical signals from your browser without advertising tracking. We may also verify that you control the email address associated with an order by sending a one-time verification code to that address before payment.

13. Cookies, analytics, advertising and newsletters

The Service may use cookies, pixels, SDKs and similar technologies for essential operations, security, preferences, analytics, measurement, advertising, retargeting and newsletter performance. Audience measurement on the website currently relies on Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies, without local storage and without tracking individual visitors; it therefore does not require consent. If we deploy additional analytics, advertising or retargeting technologies that rely on cookies, they will only be activated in accordance with the consent choices described in our Cookie Policy.

Where required by law, non-essential cookies and similar technologies will be used only with your consent. You may manage cookie preferences through the cookie banner or settings made available through the Service, and you may also use browser or device settings to limit certain technologies.

If you request a free guide or subscribe to newsletters or marketing communications, we record your email address, your language and the origin of the request, we deliver the requested content and we may send you a short series of related follow-up emails. Our marketing emails may include a small invisible image (a measurement pixel) and measured links, which tell us whether a given email was opened and which links were clicked; this measurement is linked to the email sent, is used to improve our communications and does not involve storing your IP address. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, including a one-click unsubscribe mechanism; unsubscribing immediately stops any ongoing series and places your address on our suppression list, and becoming a customer also ends any ongoing introductory series. You may also unsubscribe by contacting us. Service, security, payment and legal communications may still be sent where necessary.

14. Your rights in the EEA and UK

Subject to conditions and limitations under applicable law, users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and human review or information regarding certain automated processing where applicable.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As Slashed is established in Ireland, the Irish Data Protection Commission is our lead supervisory authority for many GDPR matters. You may also contact your local supervisory authority where applicable.

To exercise rights, contact privacy@getslashed.app. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

15. United States privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence and the applicability thresholds of relevant law, United States users may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, obtain a copy of personal information, opt out of certain targeted advertising, opt out of certain sales or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

Slashed does not sell personal information for money. However, certain analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting or measurement activities may be considered a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some United States state privacy laws. Where applicable, you may exercise opt-out rights through the cookie settings, privacy controls or by contacting privacy@getslashed.app.

We do not knowingly process personal data of users under 18.

16. Canada and Australia privacy rights

Users in Canada may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to access, correct and withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual limitations. Users in Australia may have rights to access and correct personal information and to complain about privacy handling, subject to the Privacy Act and applicable exemptions.

To exercise rights or raise privacy concerns, contact privacy@getslashed.app. We may request information to verify identity and locate the relevant Account or data.

17. Children and minors

The Service is strictly reserved for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we believe that a user is under 18 or that User Media depicts a minor, we may delete the data, suspend or terminate the Account, request verification, refuse service and take further action as appropriate.

If you believe that a minor has used the Service or that a minor's image has been uploaded, contact privacy@getslashed.app.

18. Deletion, account closure and withdrawal of consent

You may request deletion of User Media, analyses or your Account by using available account tools or contacting privacy@getslashed.app. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting your Account immediately deactivates your access and removes your data from active systems; the data — including User Media — is then kept in restricted-access quarantine for a period of up to five years before deletion or anonymisation, where necessary for legal, billing, tax, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, security, dispute or compliance reasons. Where content reported as potentially illegal is involved — in particular any content involving minors — the data concerned and the associated Account information may be retained beyond this period and transmitted to the competent authorities, including after the Account has been deleted.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. If consent is necessary for a feature, withdrawal may disable or limit that feature.

19. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the Service, by email or by other appropriate means. The updated version will apply from the effective date stated in the updated Policy, subject to applicable law.

20. Language

This Policy is drafted in English. If this Policy is translated into any other language, the English version shall prevail to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
